Travel insurance with coverage for adventure sports and medical evacuation is mandatory for any destination in Mentawai. This amount is not for us, but rather a fee imposed by the governor of Mentawai, which requires each surfer to pay 2 million rupiah (about US$ 130) when visiting the region. There are a huge number of surf spots in Mentawai, and while we would love for you to surf at all of them, it's not realistic to do so in just 10 days. We always seek a balance between experiencing a good variety of places and spending enough time at each to get familiar with them. The choice of locations is also greatly determined by the preferences and skills of the group. Please note that in extreme weather conditions, we may need to take shelter and wait for safe navigation conditions for your own safety. The captain has full legal authority to make decisions related to safety on board.

There are waves for all tastes in Mentawai; however, almost all break over reef formations, so the trip is more rewarding for those who already have a reasonable skill level. Two years of surfing is the minimum required for a surfer to fully enjoy the perfect waves that the region offers.

We have 5 air-conditioned cabins of various styles. We also have 5 bathrooms on board, 3 decks, a living room, a kitchen, and ample space for your surfboards, with direct access to the auxiliary boat via a sea-level platform at the back. We have a basic first aid kit on board and can assist, but we recommend bringing any specific medications you deem necessary. In case of more serious injuries, there are health centers in some locations in Mentawai with foreign doctors available. For critical situations, we can arrange your transport to Padang and, in extreme cases, to a larger hospital in Malaysia, Singapore, or Jakarta. All costs will be borne by the patient, so having travel insurance is mandatory.

We comply with all safety regulations and are authorized to accommodate 22 people (much more than we usually receive). We have two life rafts for 15 people, which are inspected and serviced annually, 22 life jackets, an EPIRB, radios, flares, 2 support boats, many surfboards, and a very well-trained team.

When making a reservation, we will hold your spot for 14 days until the deposit is paid. If payment is not made, the spot will be made available again. The deposit must be at least 25%. Payment methods are: Bank transfer to our business account via Wise or classic international transfer. Using the HitPay credit card incurs an additional 3% fee charged by the platform. PayPal charges an additional 4.4% fee by the platform. Pix via eFex at 3% obtained by the platform. Cryptocurrencies sent via USDT with no additional fees. After the deposit, the remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days before departure. If payment is not made by this date, the reservation will be canceled. We do not offer refunds in case of natural disasters, such as tsunamis, earthquakes, storms, floods, etc., or due to political instability, whether local, national, or global, but we will reschedule the event whenever possible.

Reservations for individual travelers are welcome, provided that we require a minimum of 7 guests to confirm the charter. If we do not reach the minimum number of reservations, the guest will be rescheduled for another date or will receive a full refund of the amount paid (including the reservation deposit). Despite this caveat, we will do everything possible to ensure departure when there are interested parties, even if, in some cases, we have to depart with fewer passengers than the minimum required. In case of emergency, bad weather, or any other reason at the captain's discretion, the vessel may remain in a sheltered bay or protected area for as long as deemed necessary.
